VW has announced that it will begin fuel savings modifications on all VW Golfs using wild boar dummies. Any one interested in this fuel savings upgrade can get it at no cost. Once the car is hits a wild board crossing the street the need for gas will go down to zero, since the car will be totaled, think of the savings. VW is also thinking about sharing this fuel savings technology with other car manufactures.

Car or Bike? Either Way Good for the Environment
Not sure about this salvage special. Is it a hybrid car that's pedal powered or is it a really safe bike with a car shell. Either way you see it, the environment is a winner. As a hybrid it uses very little gas and that's good but the power source will produce a bit of methane every once in awhile. Now as a ultra safe bike this is also good especially on a front end collision or a roll over down the ditch. I can't say anything about getting rear ended, but it is safe to say your you will have a sore touchy for a month but will cut down on the methane emissions for a month as well.

Pack of dogs own their car
What dogs really want is to own their own car and just hang out. None of this getting locked inside business, they want windows down and and the ability to just sit were they want. Isn't that what we all want?

Home Made Trucks - Made in China, Russia and Cuba
Good times are coming and as the bailouts continue it will get harder to get parts as automakers disappear into the abyss. But the good news is that there will be plenty of auto parts, we are just going to have to get more creative about putting it all together. These three home made trucks were made in communist countries (one former but maybe headed back) are the way to go. The parts are cheap and if you need more, anything close enough will do. Just head down to your local salvage yard, they always have parts and there is no waiting three weeks for delivery. They just go out and yank it off an old truck.

Cyclecide Bikes - When men and scrap collide
When men and scrap bikes collide you get cyclecide , a group of other worldly creative genius who have taken it upon themselves to transform scrap bikes into death defying rides of pure fun.
Their mission statement best describes who and what they do.
"Heavy Pedal Cyclecide Bike Rodeo is a club of alter-bike mechanics, mariachi-punk musicians and psychotic clowns who love bikes, beer and building stuff. Together we form a traveling pedal-powered carnival that is fun for people of all ages."
Bellow is a great collection of art bikes they have created so far and the video puts it all together. These bikes are best understood live but the video is the next best thing.

Trash Mobile - Near Miss with Art

There are many artist who manage to glue trash on their cars and succeed in reaching "art car" nirvana. This car on the other hand, basically had a near miss with "art" and failed in every possible way to reach any kind of nirvana known and unknown. But as far as reaching "totally trashy trash" nirvana this car has arrived.

5 Hot Animal Hybrids - Salvage Specials Art Cars
Salvage Special Hybrid is the ultimate gas saving vehicle that is powered by a live animal. All you need is just to go down to the local scrap yard and pick your self the body style that says "you". Make sure its totally stripped of unnecessary options like power windows, engine, seats and the 10 CD changer. All you need is four or two good wheels depending on the number of people you will be transporting. Are you single or a family of 8? The power source is most important because now you are dealing with a live animal with personality. The Choices are, Camel, Cow, Horse, Mule or Donkey, pick wisely.
1)Camel:
Good for long distance and rough terrain, but have humps so you have to pick the right body style to fit on top. Some walking required.
2)Cow:
Slow but will get you there, eventually. Good in wet terrain.
3)Horse:
Good speed but cover very short distances. In town use only.
4)Mule:
Good for rough terrain, heavy loads and can cover large distances.

5)Donkey:
Strong and can haul a lot of weight but are stubborn and may take a longer route. You might have to get more than one and may need solar panels to supplement power.
